High Trenhouse

Nestled in the upland landscape of Malham Moor, High Trenhouse is an oasis of calm and serenity. Five acres of grounds incorporate ponds, woods, open spaces and intimate gardens, with secluded corners.

Beyond the grounds is some of the finest scenery in Britain, with access to crags, caves and moorland. Right from the door, you are immersed in the unspoiled uplands of the Yorkshire Dales, well away from the madding crowds.

Just to step outside is to be in the hills. The air is clean and pure. There is no rumble of traffic or light pollution. This authentic living landscape assures you peace, seclusion and space to make the very best of precious time.

High Trenhouse

High Trenhouse overlooks the international nature reserve of Malham Tarn, an upland limestone lake with raised peat bog and fenlands. There are many fine excursions to be made, with the dramatic beauty spots of Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar within walking distance. Within a few miles, you can discover pretty dales villages like Arncliffe and Malham or the market towns of Settle and Skipton. Head north over Fountains Fell and you can walk all day without meeting a soul. It really is a beautiful hidden treasure.

Partner all of this with sacred movement, sound alchemy, circles of light, delicious vegetarian food, relaxation in front of roaring log fires, gorgeous cosy rooms with spectacular views, rejuvenating walks around the stunning North Yorkshire Moors, melting away stress in the sauna and enjoying great company with like-minded people, and you have the most perfect weekend.
